Aguascalientes, Mexico – May 2026. Eye Hero recently visited the Autonomous University of Aguascalientes (UAA) in Mexico for a day dedicated to innovation, education, and the future of vision training.
During the visit, the Eye Hero team presented its gamified vision training platform to students and faculty, demonstrating how clinically guided digital tools can help address one of the most common challenges in visual rehabilitation: keeping patients engaged with their at-home treatment.
For Eye Hero, the visit represented more than a university presentation. It was an opportunity to support academic development, encourage research, and help prepare the next generation of vision care professionals to work with modern therapeutic technology.
Addressing a Key Challenge in Vision Training
At-home vision training plays an important role in many treatment plans, but maintaining patient motivation can be difficult. Traditional exercises may feel repetitive, especially for children, which can lead to low adherence and slower clinical progress.
This challenge was a central theme of the session at UAA. The Eye Hero team showed how gamified therapy can transform daily visual training into an interactive experience while still remaining structured, measurable, and guided by the specialist.
Students and professors learned how Eye Hero uses dichoptic technology with red-green glasses to stimulate binocular cooperation, encouraging the eyes and brain to work together actively during training.

A major part of the presentation focused on changing the way screens are used in visual rehabilitation.

To make the visit more interactive, Eye Hero organized a dynamic quiz for UAA students. The activity tested their knowledge of vision therapy concepts, dichoptic training, and the clinical use of the Eye Hero platform.

As part of the activity, Eye Hero awarded three complete kits to the students who achieved the highest scores, recognizing both their knowledge and enthusiasm.
