San Francisco, CA – October 2024. Eye Hero has released version 1.3.0 of its vision training platform, introducing a new feature: Monocular Fixation in a Binocular Field (MFBF). This new training mode is designed to improve eye coordination training while addressing common challenges of traditional methods such as patching.
The MFBF mode allows professionals to train one eye while both eyes remain open, helping patients stay engaged and maintain a more natural visual experience during training.

A More Balanced Approach to Vision Training
Traditional patching methods require covering one eye completely, which can lead to reduced comfort and lower patient compliance, especially in younger patients. With MFBF, Eye Hero introduces a more balanced approach by:
- Training the weaker eye without fully blocking the stronger eye
- Keeping both eyes involved during the session
- Creating a more comfortable and engaging training experience
This approach makes it easier for patients to stay consistent with their training programs.

Additional Improvements
As part of the update, Eye Hero also introduces a new depth perception test, helping professionals better assess how patients judge distances and spatial relationships.
The onboarding process has also been updated. All users are required to complete onboarding again to ensure training plans are accurately adjusted based on the latest improvements.

Version 1.3.0 is now available to all Eye Hero providers and users. Users can access the latest update through the Eye Hero platform.
