Louisville, KY – April 2026. Eye Hero welcomed a select group of eye care professionals, attending OVDRA 2026 annual meeting in Louisville last week, to a private gathering that blended clinical discussion with a relaxed, social atmosphere.
Hosted at Joe’s Crab Shack, the event brought together Eye Hero providers for a night that balanced education, conversation, and a sense of community.
Expanding Knowledge and Clinical Perspective
The evening opened with remarks from Eye Hero CEO Matic Vogrič, who reflected on the company’s development so far and offered a clear view of where it is heading. His presentation touched on the purpose behind Eye Hero and its broader ambition to support practitioners with solution that improve both engagement and outcomes in modern vision care.

Clinical insight followed with two lectures from Tamara Petrosyan, O.D., Chief of Clinical and Scientific Affairs at Eye Hero. Her sessions explored both practical treatment approaches and the wider impact of visual function across a patient’s life.
She first addressed binocular treatment strategies for conditions such as binocular visual dysfunction and amblyopia, sharing approaches that clinicians can bring directly into practice. In her second lecture, she widened the scope, examining how oculomotor function shapes human development from early childhood through later life.

Together, the sessions prompted discussion among attendees and set the tone for an evening grounded in both science and real-world application.
Collaboration Beyond the Lectures
While the presentations anchored the event, much of the value came from the conversations that followed. Attendees exchanged experiences, discussed clinical challenges, and explored new ideas in an informal setting.
Eye Hero also introduced a more creative element, inviting participants to help design a character for an upcoming platform update. The activity offered a light but meaningful way for providers to leave their mark on the product and reflect the company’s openness to community input.

A Distinctive Louisville Setting
The setting played its part in making the evening stand out. Guests enjoyed a seafood menu while the energy of the city carried on just outside the venue. A live rock concert and a display of hot air balloons created an unexpected backdrop, giving the event a sense of occasion that extended beyond the room.

Strengthening a Growing Community
The Louisville gathering is part of a broader effort by Eye Hero to bring professionals together in ways that go beyond traditional formats. By creating space for learning, discussion, and connection, the company continues to invest in a community that is both engaged and forward looking.
