Dr. Tamara Petrosyan, OD, is an Associate Clinical Professor at SUNY College of Optometry and NYC Health + Hospitals/Gotham Health. Her clinical experience spans primary care, pediatrics, children with special needs, vision therapy, contact lenses, ocular disease, and head trauma care. She lectures internationally, has authored vision therapy workbooks, and has published educational materials on a range of optometric topics.
Dr. Petrosyan is also actively involved in advancing pediatric eye care and professional education. She has contributed to the development of optometry in Armenia, helping implement comprehensive pediatric eye exams, glasses access, and school vision screening protocols for children. In addition to mentoring doctors pursuing fellowship in Optometric Visual Development and Rehabilitation, she serves in several professional and advisory roles and has been recognized for her contributions to optometry, education, and children’s vision care.
